Offering custom forms is generally a key element of having an effective web site. Creating them has not always been simple, but RSForm provides the features we believe are most important:
- Simple form creation tool (almost drag-and-drop)
- Easy e-mail response setup, with ability to send to user, administrator, or any required parties
- Insertion into online database for further tracking
- Ability to add attachments
RSForms has evolved over time to be our standard for custom forms on our client sites.
We discovered the insanely great e-mail subscription service MailChimp. Located in Atlanta, they seem light-years ahead of the other e-mail marketing programs we've used. Only problem is that to allow sign-up from a Joomla site, it was necessary to use MailChimp's "insert your HTML here". To simplify your site visitor's ability to sign up for your eBlasts, we created MailChimp Module2. This module allows you to display your MailChimp subscription form natively on your Joomla site. All other MailChimp configuration is performed within your account at MailChimp.com.
Mailchimp recently changed the way 3rd parties integrate with their service (their API). This required a rewrite of the internals of the module which is now available. If you are currently using a previous release of our module, please download the new version.
This module/component/plugin lets you specify a greeting based on the website from which the visitor arrived at your page. It uses the 'referrer' field in the http header. On the admin side, you set up default greeting (if desired) and a greeting for each url you're interested in. On the front side, the greeting can either be displayed in a module or in a content item by means of the plug-in. So, here's the component, the module and the plugin. All are Joomla 1.5 native.
